Learning from the hymns [Joel Payne]
There has been an explosion in worship songwriting in the last 40 years. But worship songs have been written for millenia. We find them in the pages of our hymnbooks, centuries-worth of creativity and inspiration. What can we learn from the great hymns that will help us to become better songwriters for today?

Using the Psalms [Dr Miriam Hincksman]
We love to use the psalms in our songwriting. They're the songbook of the Bible. But do we always understand where they're coming from, and what they're trying to say? Come and learn more about the psalms and how you might make better use of them.
Poetic language in worship songs [Sam Hargreaves]
In creative lyrical works, imagery and metaphor are vital. They expand the scope of our meaning and expression, they add beauty and poetry to our words and they impact our hearts as we sing. Explore how to deepen your vault of this expressive and creative language and learn to choose images wisely.
Song critiquing session [Geraldine Luce & Matt Osgood]
Bring a song that you've been working on, share it with other songwriters at the conference and get some feedback that will develop it into the best it can be. Hosted by some of the Resound writers.
