This song began as a meditation on Luke 7:36-50, where Jesus
forgives the sinful
woman, and she responds by 'loving much'. It developed,
after much revision,
into a song where we respond not just in worship of Jesus, but in a
commitment to
show the love we have first received to others around us. We have
used it in
both band and acoustic settings.
Who can reach the end of grace?
Matt 10:8; Luke 7:36-50; Heb 4:16;
Who can reach the end of grace? There is no limit.
On the cross you took our place, and by your Spirit
freely we receive your love, we'll freely give it.
Jesus, everyday we need your mercy.
We've been forgiven much, so we will love much.
We've known your healing touch, so we will reach out.
As you have set us free, give us the strength to be,
your hands of mercy.
Knowing that you paid the price for our salvation
we will bring a sacrifice, our adoration.
Loving as we have been loved, no condemnation.
Jesus, everyday we'll show your mercy.
Everyday we need your mercy,
everyday we need your grace,
everyday we need forgiveness,
the love of Jesus.
Everyday we'll show your mercy,
everyday we'll show your grace,
everyday we'll show forgiveness,
the love of Jesus.
