Christmas Album - we need your help!

Posted at 07:48am on 12th May 2014

It's time for us to record a Christmas Album. We're excited about it, we've got big plans. Give us a few minutes of your time so we can tell you more!

We want Christmas to be a time of worship,  and we've been writing songs to do just that for a number of years now.We know you love the songs because our Christmas material outperforms every other song on our site. This is great, but we want the songs to be more than just an item in a service. We want to create something you can take home and love listening to. We want worship to be the soundtrack to your Christmas.

We need to share this. Jesus' birth is good news for all people, that's what the angels said. We're aiming to produce something that sounds special, that you could proudly give as gifts to family and friends. We've worked hard on our demos over the years, but we're looking for something better. Quality musicians and beautiful arrangements that can reach a whole new audience.

So it's time to record an album. We’ve been plugging away for a while now, working collaboratively, doing something a bit different. We take real care over how our songs are created, we work hard at them together. It’s about time we tried to apply that collaborative, innovative approach to recording. We want to create together a Christmas album that isn’t just the latest vamped up version of popular carols but is something new, creative, unprecedented.

So that’s the big plan. But we need your help. We can fund some of it ourselves but we need to raise an additional £10,000 to help make this happen. That pays for producers (we've signed up the fantastic Weeks brothers), musicians, mixing, mastering and pressing. All the usual stuff! That's we've launched a crowdfunding campaign. We've given ourselves 30 days to raise the funds, and it's all or nothing!

Will you help us to raise the funds to get our Christmas Album ready in time for this Christmas? We're offering a whole raft of enticing rewards in return for your support, from a copy of the CD to a Christmas concert at your church. So check out the fundraising page, and pledge what you can. We appreciate every little bit!

Let's do this together.
