New song, new website!

Posted at 06:25am on 15th September 2011

New writer Ben Atkins kicks off our new-look website with a fantastic song!  'You are a refuge (Arms)' has touching, poetic and truth-filled lyrics, coupled with a beautiful melody and anthemic music.  Check it out, and use our new features to comment, 'Like' and tell us when you've used the song in church!

This new-look website is packed with some exciting new features:

  • Posting comments on the songs
  • Clicking 'I like this' and 'I've used this' to show your appreciation
  • Searching by Bible passage
  • Seeing songs on the same theme in our handy sidebar
  • Previewing snippets of songs from the search pages
  • Reading blog posts on new material and other stuff we're up to
  • Improved song player, with the ability to preview all the results of a search in one click.

Do make use of our Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and email icons to share the songs with others, and write in the comments boxes to feedback about the songs.  We're excited about how this new site can make the process of writing even more interactive, as in this feedback we recently received:

"RESOUNDworship.org was already one of the most creative developments in worship in recent years, taking seriously the theological truth that the Spirit is poured out on the whole church, not just on song writers and publishers. The new website makes it even easier for the whole church to get involved. Now we can all share the responsibility (alongside those who have particular worship leading gifts) for making sure our offering of worship is as good and as truthful as it can possibly be. This is a great example of the internet being used for the good of the whole church."
