New song: When you spoke

We're delighted to bring you this new song by our new writer, Lesley Kennedy. And we're also delighted to bring you a song that we're sure will plug a gap in your repertoire.

We first met Lesley on one of our songwriting workshops a couple of years ago. She'd been working on this song for a while and we thought it was great, so we asked if we could get involved with the process. She really took her time, carefully refining some cleverly structure lyrics, and here's the finished result!

When you spoke is quite unique as a song, all about the speaking God and the power of his voice: from creation, through the Old Testament story of Israel, the words of Jesus to ways he speaks to us in the church. It's a rich song that resounds with biblical witness and culminates in a cry that we would hear his voice today and respond.
