Resources to help engage with the current refugee crisis in your worship

Posted at 01:18am on 10th September 2015

As awareness grows of the full scale of the Syrian refugee crisis across Europe, many churches are looking for ways to respond in their worship. We want to help enable that, so we've worked with engageworship.org to produce this video for Ben Atkins' very pertinent song You are a refuge (Arms). You could use the video reflectively during prayers, or in between songs, even to the teach the song and sing later.

You stand with those who stand alone,
a shelter for those without a home,
every tear that falls you know;
God you care.

We're making all the resources for this song - including the video - free if you enter the code RESPOND. But we would ask that you consider instead making a donation to Christian Aid or Tearfund whose partners are working now with those caught up in the crisis.
